The owners of a private residence in Cheat Lake had a home that met all of their needs except that they needed space to store their boat, out of season, and an additional collector’s car. The solution was a detached garage in keeping with the aesthetic of the main residence. The challenge was siting the garage on the property in such a way that it was accessible from the road while fitting well into the site.
The solution functionally serves the clients well and blends with the aesthetic of the primary house. The garage is also framed for a potential second floor space over the garage for an office, workshop, or similar future use.
